Take a look at this board. THIS is my dream kitchen. I am sure that in real life there would be some little changes when it came down to it, but all in all, this is it! The beautiful hardwood flooring with all of the variance in the wood, the concrete countertops, the farmhouse sink, the distressed cabinets…wow. And who could leave out the “exposed” brick {although I am sure it would be faux, but hey- that stuff is awesome!}
I also love the touches of “glam” that sets it apart that much more, like the gorgeous chandelier and the glass knobs. To me, that takes it more from just a farmhouse kitchen to something a little different, which is what I want. Don’t get me wrong, I LOVE farmhouse style…but I also love some glam mixed in and definitely some color. While my kitchen is aqua right now, I will not be going that bold in my next home. I do love it now, and it is so cheery and bright, but I am ready to tone down a tad. I could never do away with color completely, so no matter what, I could NEVER be an all neutral girl. I would have to accessorize with color, and since I love aqua, what better color to use?!
The final touches of galvanized and vintage really seem to set the entire look off! Ahhh…a girl can dream!
So what do you think? Do you like the look I am trying to achieve? What about the rustic with the shiny/glamorous? Do you like those 2 styles combined?

I LOVE it! The touches of aqua are gorgeous. I am in love with farmhouse style too, but it all looks the same if you don’t add in a little of your personality. This is perfect! 🙂
