$1 Pumpkin Sign Makeover

This $1 pumpkin sign makeover is about to blow your socks off. I found this bad boy at Dollar General for one whole dollar, and knew it would be the perfect thing to give a makeover to!

Supplies needed for the makeover…

• $1 pumpkin sign from Dollar General
• Wooden sign from Hobby Lobby
• Hot Glue Gun
• Ribbon of your choice
• Twine
• Raffia
• White paint
• 1 button
• Sanding block

We will start by white-washing our sign from Hobby Lobby! I found this on sale for 50% off, making it about $3.50!

Go ahead and dry brush your white paint onto the board. You do not have to be perfect with this… because the sanding will do all the magic!

See what I mean? Sanding it down with your sanding block helps mesh the paint into the board!

After that, simply wrap your twine around the bottom of the board a few times! I love the neutral look this brought to it.

Now it’s time to work on the pumpkin! I simply found two styles of ribbon that matched my decor… and hot glued them on!

I popped off the greenery that came with the pumpkin, and decided to add a a raffia bow!

After attaching my raffia bow, I hot glued on a little button to the middle, and stuck some white picks behind it!

I also added a little more twine to the edges of the pumpkin!

I just love how this pumpkin sign turned out!!!! Starting from a $1 find, and ended up looking like a million bucks… that’s the kind of crafting I live for!!
