Our Foreclosure {Exterior Before and After}

Exterior Makeover

Throughout the past few months of blogging, I have shared lots of pictures of the inside of our current {foreclosure} home. We did SO much work to it, and I am so pleased with the transformations! BUT, as we are about to embark on a new journey, I realized that I have never shared any pictures of the outside of the home! Let me tell you folks…this home was in such desperation. It had been sitting vacant for a few years and was completely run down.

Let me go ahead and show you some of the pictures of when we first bought the home!

Foreclosure Home Before

Not only was it DIRTY and overgrown, it was also in need of many other improvements. The roof was in bad shape, the windows were starting to come out of the casings {see upper left window- from looking ahead in this picture}, the unit was bad, etc…Basically, it was crying out for attention!

BUT, never judge a book by its cover! You have got to be able to see past the ugly! Sure, it needed lots of work…but it was nothing we weren’t ready to take on! Take a look at how it is NOW! WORLD OF DIFFERENCE!

We replaced all the windows, put a new roof, changed the unit, landscaped, painted the shutters, put a new door, and of course- CLEANED the vinyl! {And I have to admit, I am smitten with my Spring Porch!}

I will be sad to leave this beautiful home, but I am so proud of all of the hard work and love that has went into it. We have made lots of amazing memories in this home, and I know that the next owner will love it as much as we have!

    WOW. I completely forgot what it used to look like. I remember Josh going over there about once a month to mow because it just looked so terrible and the bank never sent anyone to cut the grass. The back door would come open, usually after a storm and someone would end up running over there and closing it. I think everyone is the neighborhood was scared that this big beautiful house was going to fall apart or eventually squatters would find it. Needless to say, we were SOOOOO happy when y’all bought it. It looks AMAZING now, inside and out!

      I can only imagine what the neighborhood thought of his run down house. It sat for so long, and it really was starting to fall apart. I am so glad we moved there–and restored it to what it could be, but more than that- to make such great friends!

    Why would you be leaving the house so soon after all your hard work?

      Our whole plan was the buy, flip it and sell. We never planned on staying there and living in a neighborhood (although it a fabulous neighborhood). Our dream was to own a farm and move there, and we are able to do that now. We lived here 3 years, and it has been great.

      Thank you very much! We pressure washed it ALOT!! Haha. It was in such bad shape, but thankfully we could just wash and not replace!
