You know I can never leave well enough alone! There’s not one thing wrong with this white little planter from Ross Dress for Less, but it’s just a tad boring for my taste ???? I had to Brooke it up a bit, and MAN AM I LOVING IT NOW!!!

what you’ll need…

*tap on the bolded items to shop my affiliate links!*

  • $8.99 planter from Ross Dress For Less
  • felt balls from Amazon
  • re-fabbed hot glue gun/hot glue
  • apple barrel jet black paint
  • re-fabbed paint brushes

First, I grabbed some black paint and painted vertical stripes all over the planter!

As you can see, it does NOT have to be perfect… I’m not a perfectionist in my crafting, by any means! Give me all the WHIMSY things!

Next up, one of my very favorite crafting supplies- FELT BALLS!

I simply hot glued them onto the top of my planter using my re-fabbed hot glue gun. Easy peasy!

I decided to do one side the grayish green color, and the other side the turquoise color!

AHHH! How adorable did this turn out?!? I already had everything I needed to make jazz up this planter, and I couldn’t love it more if I tried!

How adorable is this little battery powered lamp?!? You can grab yours HERE! (ref)

I am in love with how this easy, affordable makeover turned out! I encourage you to look around at the pieces you ALREADY have and imagine what they COULD be!

Will you look at a simple planter like this in a new light from now on?!?! I would LOVE to know if you give this project a try!

Be sure to PIN FOR LATER!
