I found this woven piece at a local junkin’ store, Anything Goes Trading Co, and I knew that it HAD to come home with me! Since then, it has sat in my craft room, patiently waiting for the perfect project. Today was FINALLY its moment to shine!

Here are the supplies you’ll need!

  • vintage piece from Anything Goes Trading Co.
  • gold broken horse leg
  • rust-oleum spray paint in candy pink
  • re-fabbed branded scissors
  • re-fabbed hot glue gun/hot glue
  • brown raffia
  • scrabble letters to spell out “fall”

You might notice that I have gold and pink paint in my before picture above, but the regular acrylic paint did not adhere to this wicker AT ALL, so I pivoted to this spray paint!

I loooove this candy pink color!

I’ve held onto this broken horse leg for a while now, just in case. Tell me I’m not alone here?! I’m sure glad I did, because it turned out to be the perfect pumpkin stem! I didn’t even have to use a drop of paint for it!

I adhered the gold horse leg onto the woven piece using my FAVE hot glue gun!

Next, I tied a raffia bow (tutorial HERE) and hot glued it onto the top of the stem!

I decided it still needed a little something, so I hot glued these scrabble tiles on! I think this absolutely completed the look! Don’t you?!

Do you like to decorate with traditional colors for fall??? I adore PINK fall decor!

As always, I would LOVE to know if this project inspired you! If anything, don’t hesitate to pick up a unique piece and hang onto it for just the right project, like I did here!

Don’t forget to PIN this for later! And make sure you are following on FACEBOOK and INSTAGRAM!
