You may have heard the news that we bought a BEACH CONDO in Cocoa Beach, Florida! Well, we have a lot of work we want to do to it before it is like we want it and we can rent it to YOU…but I wanted to share several BEFORE pictures today so you can get an idea of what we are working with!
Let’s take a look! (and let me go ahead and let you in on a secret….we are gonna have lots of GORGEOUS wallpaper!)
First, this is the hallway as you walk in. Ugly popcorn ceiling and tile (and let’s not forget the boob light)…and that side of the door needs some PAINT! We can’t paint the outside, but we can certainly spruce up the inside.
Imagine a beautiful place to hang your towels and set your flip flops on the left…and pretty color paint and wallpaper and light and definitely all new flooring everywhere! ahhhhhh!!!
That space you see on the right (on your left as you are walking in) is the kitchen. It is very outdated and will be completely remodeled as well, with all new cabinets, appliances, lighting, etc…
We are also knocking out that wall leading to the pantry and moving the fridge to that area and making shelving where the fridge is, so that it opens it up!
The ceiling in the kitchen is much lower, so we are knocking the ceiling out where those fluorescent lights are (it is hollow up there)…and then extending that ceiling all the way through. It will open that space up a TON!
There will also be new backsplash, countertop, and an extended bar!
This is into the living room! You can already catch a glimpse at that gorgeous VIEW! That’s what it is all about folks! That carpet…..ugh. GOING FAST!
There is lots of space in the living room!!! We can fit SO much seating for families to enjoy!
This is the living room looking into the kitchen and hallway. You can fit a very nice sized table and chairs in the dining section! Once we have the bar, you will be able to also fit some bar stools!
You can see better on the photo below if you look to the left…how much lower the ceiling in the kitchen is. It will all be the same once we are finished.
This is the master bedroom. It will have a king bed, and of course all new paint, flooring, etc…and definitely NOT those window coverings.
But, even through the ugly window coverings you can see a beautiful view of the beach!!!
Right off the master bedroom is this huge closet with a washer and dryer!
Then a very good sized bathroom! We will have a whole new vanity, mirror, toilet, lights, etc…
And this is the other bedroom! It has a full and twin bed now, but our plan is to do a twin bed and bunk beds, to have a little more space and sleeping.
Beside that bedroom is the other bathroom. It is almost identical to the other, and it will have the same renovations! It is a bath/shower combo…and we are keeping it that way.
And what we fell in love with the MOST….the VIEW! We are so happy to have a piece of Florida and their gorgeous beach! We LOVE the Cocoa Beach area, and we can’t wait for you to visit once we have all of the renovations complete!!! It will be fabulous! I LOVE Cocoa Beach too! That’s where we went on our honeymoon 22 years ago and then took our son for his fifth birthday.

Great bones, will be great when you’re done with it. We love to go to the gulf. Just moved to Al so it’s a lot closer to visit more frequently. I would love to rent it.

Hey Brooke, love the new place and location!!! I was just there about 3 weeks ago. Go eat at Sqid Lips if you haven’t already. Loved everything about it!! Amazing food!!! That seafood lasgasa is to die for!! Sounds ugh but wow!!! Just loved that beach and area!!! Can’t wait to see the makeover!! Enjoy!!!

The condo has a gorgeous view. It will be absolutely beautiful with your renovations and your decorating talent. We would love to win the trip, but would also be interested in renting it when it is finished. I know you will enjoy it for many years to come!

Oh Brooke, I live in Central Florida and I love Cocoa Beach, it is a beautiful area!!! You, your gf amily and friends will so enjoy it there! And you are right, it is all about that view!!!!
Have you considered making your condo wheelchair accessible (wide doors, wheelchair accessible shower with seat, etc.). My husband is in a wheelchair and it is almost impossible to find a condo anywhere that is wheelchair accessible. I prefer staying in a condo over a hotel room. Just because it is wheelchair accessible does not mean others can’t use it.
I know from experience, we never thought about ‘wheelchair accessible’ accommodations until it hit us in the face. And, honestly none of us know when things might happen to any of us.

Unfortunately a lot of that won’t be possible due to the pre existing way the condo is set up with their outside facing doors and windows and structure , etc and I can’t change those things. I do understand your frustration and I am so sorry it is so tough!

Oh wow how exciting! In 2019 we purchased a beach house in North Myrtle Beach SC and it’s the best investment we’ve made. Hope you and your family will enjoy yours also. The best in your renovations and I know it’s going to be beautiful when it’s finished!

How exciting! I would definitely stay there! I LOVE Cocoa Beach! We honeymooned there 22 years ago and then took our son there for his 5th birthday in 2012. It is a great beach!
Can’t wait to see what your family does to this condo. I know you all will have some great ideals. Just think the memories you will be making while doing it. Just remember to take lots of pictures of the process not just for us but for your family to remember it always. Remember to thank God every day for this opportunity he has given your family. We just spent spring break in Fl . We rented a house thru Venmo, the only issue we had to drive to the beach. We were on beaches from St. Pete to Ft Meyers. Would love to visit your Condo, and be right on the beach. Have fun remodeling but don’t get so busy you forget to have fun!!
