If you know me, you know I LOVE to incorporate pink into my decor, especially for Fall/Halloween! Complete with thick bodied paint and a little bit of glitter… this is my kind of project!

here’s what you’ll need…

*tap on the bolded items to shop my affiliate links!*

  • 5×7 oval plaque (I’m using a 2pk from Hobby Lobby!)
  • white thick body acrylic paint
  • paint brushes (check out my faves!!!)
  • mod podge
  • re-fabbed branded scissors
  • re-fabbed hot glue gun/hot glue
  • apple barrel cameo pink
  • white glitter (optional)
  • black paint pen/sharpie
  • the best scissors!
  • cute ribbon of choice

This is the plaque I used from Hobby Lobby, in case you want to grab this pack of 2 for yourself!

First, I painted a layer of cameo pink!

Next, I started to outline the shape of a ghost with some thick bodied paint! MY FAVE!

I also sprinkled on some GLITTER, because why not?!?

While that was drying, I grabbed this black & white ribbon I picked up from Walmart, and a scrap piece of ric rac ribbon. This little ghost needed some flair!

I’m convinced that a bow makes nearly EVERYTHING cuter!

I tied the ric rac around my bow to hold it together and give it a little something extra!

I grabbed my black paint pen and painted on some eyes! How CUUUUTE?!

Lastly, I hot glued the bow right on!

How stinkin’ cute is this girly ghost?!?! She’s rocking the glitter and bow, if you ask me!

Isn’t this the perfect little shelf sitter?!

If you don’t own any thick bodied paint yet, consider this your sign!!!

Of course, you can do this with ANY color/ribbon that match your style! Tell me, will you be trying this one?!?

BE SURE TO PIN FOR LATER!
