diy halloween decor using walmart ghost garland

On a recent trip to Walmart, I snagged this cute little garland for $1.28! I knew I could use it for a project, and BOY did this exceed my expectations! Don’t you love when that happens?! Let’s get started!

here’s what you’ll need…

*tap on the bolded items to shop my affiliate links!*

  • walmart ghost garland (only $1.28!)
  • re-fabbed scissors
  • re-fabbed hot glue gun/hot glue
  • re-fabbed paint brushes
  • apple barrel jet black paint
  • wood/canvas hanging sign from hobby lobby
  • pink gingham ribbon

First, I painted the white/canvas portion of my sign black! My favorite is jet black by apple barrel.

While that was drying, I cut apart my ghost garland. Seriously, how adorable are these glitter ghosts?!

I thought these cuties needed a little embellishment, so I grabbed some pink gingham ribbon! BOWS are never a bad idea, plus it covered the little holes from the garland right up!

I laid the ghosts out on my sign before I painted it, and it looked like 4 ghosts would be the perfect fit… so that’s how many bows I made!

I simply glued the four ghosts onto my sign in two rows of two (using my re-fabbed hot glue gun, of course!)

Alright ghouls and guys… what do you think?!!? I think they are pretty stinkin’ cute, if I say so myself!

I think these little pink bows were the PERFECT touch of color, and they even added a little dimension!

Will you be trying this one??? LET ME KNOW!

Be sure to PIN FOR LATER!

That turned out really cute! Plus it was very simple, easy, and inexpensive. Fall/Halloween crafts are my most favorite to do.
I would put a pink bow on 2 of them, and, either blue or black bow on the other 2 as a bow tie.

This is adorable. I am using the theme “The Holy Ghost fills with joy, not fear” for my trunk or treat this year. Planning to decorate with lots of cute ghosts. May have to include something like this. Thanks for the idea.
