how to make the cutest Christmas tree using a cardboard cone

A few days ago, I found the the cutest felting wool in Hobby Lobby! I couldn’t wait to see how I could use it for crafting! I first made THIS ADORABLE TREE with the look of tassels and it turned out perfect!  However, I still had TONS of the wool left and I knew I just had to come up with something else! I grabbed this cardboard cone in my craft room and started creating!

This is ALL you need to make this SUPER easy tree!!

  • hot glue gun (HERE is the one I designed myself!!)
  • felting wool
  • cardboard cone Christmas tree

I began by selecting the colors I wanted to use for the tree. I didn’t use all the exact colors that I used on the first craft, but I wanted to use enough of the same that they definitely coordinated since I knew it would make the most ADORABLE Christmas vignette!

After I selected all of my colors, I then pulled off a small piece of each color of the wool. I wrapped each piece around the tree and used my glue gun to attach them to the back of the tree.

I continued the process until I had covered the whole tree. I just LOVE these colors as an alternative to my usual red and white, but you could totally use those too!

This is definitely not your traditional Christmas craft, but I just absolutely love incorporating different colors and textures into my decor! I think it adds so much interest!!

I am seriously obsessed with this felting wool and these trees! Have you ever used felting wool? If so, let me know how you used it, because I STILL have some left!!!!

BE SURE TO PIN FOR LATER!
