If you are a fan of Easter or scrap wood projects- THIS is the craft for you! It might come as surprise to some of you, because it’s not as bold and colorful as most of my projects… BUT, I do appreciate a good neutral piece of decor! As always, take this idea and put your own spin on it to match YOUR taste. I always love to see what you come up with!

SUPPLIES NEEDED:

  • Dollar Tree wood cutout bunnies (pack of 12)
  • Walmart “family” cut out *ref link
  • Scrap wood
  • Sanding block
  • Kilz Dark Wax
  • Hot Glue Gun
  • Apple Barrel paint in the following colors: White, Golden Sunset, Chocolate Bar & Black

To see the ENTIRE process, be sure to watch the LIVE VIDEO HERE!

First, I grabbed a touch of my white paint, and lightly brushed it onto my scrap wood to create a “weathered” look. I didn’t paint the sides or the back of this sign, just the front! Feel free to grab a sanding block and lightly sand the wood after the paint dries.

While the paint on was drying, I began painting my “family” cutout from Walmart. I chose the color Golden Sunset, which is my very FAVORITE mustard color! I chose to not paint the sides of this as well.

I cannot say enough how much I LOOOOVE my Re-Fabbed Branded Hot Glue Gun!!!! It’s seriously the best.

Now it’s time for these precious little BUNNIES! I removed the tails and decided to go for a more neutral color- “Chocolate Bar” from Apple Barrel!

REAL LIFE here… I honestly did not love how this color looked. So, I decided to cover it with KILZ Dark Wax after I painted it, and this was muuuuch more of what I had in mind!

Here is how it’s looking! Aren’t these little brown bunnies so fun?!

I decided to paint these a light gray to fit my neutral theme, and I LOVE how they turned out! I used white with a small touch of black to create my own gray color.

How precious are these bunnies?! All they need is their little cotton tails hot glued back on!

I simply glued those back on, and my project is COMPLETE!

For only about $3, I now have the CUTEST little piece of decor for my coffee bar! It doesn’t get any easier OR affordable than this, y’all! Will you be trying this one?!? What colors would YOU choose? Be sure to let me know!
