how to add ribbon bundles to your Christmas stockings

Months ago, while I was scrolling Pinterest, I came across a picture that I saved for inspiration. I have no idea whose it is- but as soon as I saw it, I knew I wanted to try my hand at creating something similar for my Christmas mantel this year.

Well, I did it, and I can honestly say, it turned out even better than I expected! AND…it was SUPER easy!

My stockings this year on one side of the mantel were super boring. Sure, they had fun polka dots that I LOVE…but overall, they just lacked any character. I knew my idea would be perfect for these specific ones…so I set out to find the perfect ribbon and pom poms!

I found different ribbons along the way, and I got to work cutting them to make them into strips. The white pom pom ribbon is from Walmart and the thin, velvet ribbon is from TJ Maxx.

Unfortunately, I completely forgot to take pictures of cutting them, but I feel confident you know how to cut in strips that are the length you want your bundle to be 🙂
This chiffon ribbon came from Amazon! You can find it HERE!

I simply cut a few strips of each of the ribbons and bundled them together. Then it was time for my “pom poms” Brooke is cool.

I simply cut the length I wanted from this garland that I found at WALMART, and then I took off some of the balls to give me some extra threading. I tied a knot at the end with some of the chiffon ribbon so that the balls wouldn’t fall out, and then I attached them together at the top with another small piece of chiffon. It is the best to use. bc it is SO thin and easy to tie.

After that, I simply tied my bundles to the stocking and hung them! I LOVE AND ADORE how these turned out! They are so stinkin’ fun and festive and totally BROOKE!

Aren’t the colors so much fun?!

I hope you are inspired by this! Take it and make it your own for your stockings or even just as a part of your mantel to hang for an extra bit of festive flair this year!

Pin for later!
