The Foreclosure- Final Home Tour

2.5 years ago, we bought a house. It was a foreclosure at the time, and we put many many hours into making it not only a house, but a home. From the beginning, we knew that this would be a home that we would eventually sell so that we could have the farm we always wanted, but while living here, we put our heart into all that we did in this home. Well, after all of the hard work, we are selling this home. Before it hits the market, I wanted to do a final walk through of the entire home. Some parts of this home has never been seen on the blog, because, truth be told, not every part of my home is fully decorated 🙂 Hey, it’s the truth. Don’t we all get to a point where there just isn’t enough time in the day to get it all done??

So, here we are…Welcome to Hickory, Kentucky…a quiet little town in Western Kentucky! It is conveniently nestled between Mayfield and Paducah, and is a beautiful area to raise a family.

This home is a 3 bedroom 2.5 bath home that is nearly 2800 square feet plus the garage.

As you walk in, you will enter into our living room! {I LOVE a fireplace! Don’t you??} It is hilarious- because I get tons of comments about not having a coffee table! I like the open feel 🙂

From the living room, you will head into the kitchen. I LOVE the color of this kitchen! It has been a mood lifter and a fun place to hang.

There is a good sized pantry too! Super nice to have.

The kitchen leads into the laundry room and half bath.

The laundry room is a good size, and it is in a convenient spot, right off the garage.

The half bath is the perfect size 🙂 The color matches the kitchen!

This is our dining room, which sits right off the kitchen and living room. I love those built ins. They are fun to decorate, and they add some spunk to an otherwise simple space.

The “office” is another room that I love! The ceiling is gorgeous, and it is full of natural light! It sits right off the kitchen, so it can easily be used as a breakfast nook.

That’s all for the downstairs, so let’s move on up!

I always wanted to do a “travel wall” heading up these stairs, but it wasn’t something I ever got around to doing. That is definitely something I will do in our forever home!

As you come up the stairs, there is a bonus area on your left. We use it as a play area, and it is so handy! As I  mentioned before about the areas that haven’t gotten the decorating attention?? Yeah, this is one of them!

I had big plans for that cute little nook…big big plans…..

Right beside my cute little nook is the master bedroom!

And master bathroom! There is a walk in closet in this bathroom {which you cannot see! yikes.}

Moving on to the other full bath- the Kid’s Bath!

And now, to the kid’s rooms 🙂

Blaize’s sweet room is simply adorable, if I do say so myself.

Little boy's Americana Bedroom

Eden’s room- well, it is huge! It is a fun and exciting room that has so much untapped potential. It is the biggest area of the home that I had big plans for, but time got away from me…

And there you have it…the full tour!

You know, I think that you could work forever and never fully finish decorating and fixing up. Would you agree? But, one thing I know is true…a house {and certainly pretty decor} does not make a home. This house was just a house when we bought it. It needed desperate attention, but with plenty of that and some years of pure love and laughter inside of it, this has been a very happy place that I have been PROUD to call Home. Would you want to make it yours??
