Dorm room decor ideas
It's that time of year again... Summer is dwindling down to an end, and all our kiddos are headed back to school... and for some of us, heading back to school means MOVING OUT to college!
I'm thankful my time for that hasn't come yet... but I do find joy in seeing all the CRAZY dorm room makeovers this time of year!!!
I'll tell you what, these 18 year old gals know how to make their small space feel like home! I have found LOTS of gorgeous dorm room makeovers, and I thought it would be fun to compile all my faves into one post!

This does NOT even feel like a dorm room to me!!! All the cozy textures that were added in make it truly feel like home... and there's no way you can't NOT feel cozy in here!
One thing that really stands out to me here, is that HEADBOARD!!! What a great way to make your dorm not FEEL like a dorm. I also love that she added in a tiny little ottoman, and the warm glow from the bedside lamp helps feel right at home!
I'm not sure if they just don't make dorm rooms the way they use to, but mine never had enough space for a living area!!! However, I will say that adding in a coffee table is a GREAT way to make it feel more "spacious" and less like one room!
Having one bed as a bunk style with living quarters underneath is GENIUS! This really helps with opening up that tiny little space you have... and giving you more room for storage!
Also, I needed to mention the fabric they used as "wallpaper"! I love the way it looks behind the little chair and desk... It looks so much better than those cement block walls!
As you are fully aware... there's basically NOOO storage what-so-ever in a dorm room. So, utilizing every square inch the best of your ability will get you far. I LOVE the idea of using little cubby organizers as a "dresser"!
Again with the utilizing all the space you can... having both beds formed into a bunk bed will give you the maximum amount of space!! Complete with a rug & coffee table, you'll feel right at home!
That peel & stick wallpaper made this room look TEN TIMES BETTER!!! Those cinderblock walls always made me feel like I was in jail... but covering them with wallpaper?! GENIUS!
You know how plants can really liven up a space?? I think the same thing applies with greenery! I love that she added this beside her bed!
So… after seeing all these amazing dorm rooms, does it make you wish you were back in college?!?! LOL!
I still have SEVERAL years before my time to decorate a dorm room will come… and gosh, who KNOWS what the crazy trends will be then!

Couldn’t decide on just one room. My two favorites were the Black and White room and the Boho Chic room. All the rooms were amazing.
