cozy christmas built in shelves

Y’all know I adore my built in shelving in the living room. The space is so fun to decorate and get creative! My absolute favorite time of year to decorate them is Christmas!  I love to fill the space with all things Christmas, and it creates the perfect warm and cozy vibe in my living room. Come along as I show you how I decorated my shelves this year!

With my shelving located so close to the Christmas tree and mantel, I love to decorate them in the same color scheme and style, so everything flows. I have some new pieces this year that I am super excited to show you!

Sprinkling winter greenery around brings so much warmth to the space and also adds a little color into the red and white color scheme. I also love to mix in little signs and sayings. How precious is this little sign? It’s so true, because Christmas brings me so much joy!

My collection of nutcrackers carries over to the shelves as well. I love the uniqueness of nutcrackers and all the special details.

Since I incorporated gingerbread men on my tree this year, I decided to set this cute little house on the shelf nearby. Look at the details on the roof! How adorable!

Going right along with the candy theme, this red and white candy tree fit in perfectly! It has such a vintage feel, and I love the way the candy strips ribbon down to form a tree.

The two red flocked nutcrackers beside the television were purchased this year from Walmart! I mean, how amazing are they?? They are available in green and white as well. The red goes in and out of stock, but it may be available for in-store pick up, so check HERE for availability in your area!

I love how the red really shines and pops agains the white shelves! The mix of styles flows so well, and I think I achieved the cozy feel I was going for!

Can you believe Christmas is getting sooo close? I am so excited to create more Christmas memories in my home with loved ones this year!

I am always blown away at the amount of work and attention to detail that you put into your decorating. I think my favorite part of this is how all the decorations pick up the color from the rug and pull the vintage vibe from it into the scheme. I love all the decorations but the fact that they are done in such a seamless way to incorporate the entire room, even the flooring, is amazing to me. That is a talent not everyone possesses. I think it goes back to you staying true to the colors and things you love and not veering from that. It looks like a Brooke House. If I saw this posted anywhere without a contributor listed I would automatically think, this has to be Brooke’s home. 🙂 Merry Christmas sweet lady! Hope it is a blessed one for you and yours.
