changing black hardware to gold in the kitchen

Sometimes, in our homes, we simply yearn for a change. If you are anything like me, you get bored with the same look for very long, so I am always looking for ways to make a big impact without having to spend a ton of money! Well, most recently, I did just that in my kitchen by switching my hardware!

Look at this BEFORE picture from back during Christmas. (First of all, I am obsessed with Christmas…and you can find TONS of Christmas inspiration on my blog HERE…)but second, can you see that I was already trying to see if I wanted to try the gold look??? Do you see the one gold handle? LOL

When we built our house a few years ago, I was set on having black hardware on my white cabinets. It looked beautiful, but over time, I was ready for a change. I decided to grab some GOLD hardware AND a gold faucet from Amazon, so that I could have a whole new look! And…best part- if I hated it, it was very easy to change it right back! Are those not the best changes??

This is the exact hardware I got from Amazon, if you are interested in trying any for yourself! <—–

This is the exact faucet I got! <——–

The process is self explanatory! You simply take the old hardware off and replace it with the new, and for the faucet, just make sure someone knows what they are doing 😉

Tips:
Make SURE you have them tightened well and are using the right screws for the length of that specific pull.
Make SURE you measured and know the right size hardware to get! I ordered the wrong size at first because I didn’t measure good enough!

I am AMAZED at how different it looks! I absolutely love it…but as always, when I tire of it, it is an easy way to change it up and get a whole new look again!!
I even changed the black hardware in the living room, since it flows into the kitchen!

Let me know what you think of the small but mighty change!
